In this context, HR Services S.A. offers a catalogue of specific training programmes tailor-made for HR people new in this function or arriving in Luxembourg.

The various training programmes, run by specialists for specialists, have all one major objective: to get the participants acquainted with  "best practice" HR methods in Luxembourg. The HR Services S.A. consultants also highlight issues encountered by the cohabitation and mixture of the different cultures at the work place and often play an intermediary role between the foreign management and/or parent companies and the local administrations like the "Administration de l'Emploi", the Ministry of Labour, the INFPC and the Ministry of National Education.

HR Services S.A. is also regularly requested to assist their clients in defining and implementing their training policy.

Selection and Testing

HR Services S.A. possesses a sound experience in the organisation and administration of Assessment and Development Centres. The consultants of HR Services S.A., who are qualified in the methodology of running an Assessment Centre and the use of psychotechnical tests, have been able to assess over a hundred candidates per year for various companies and administrations. The wide range of tests used include personality questionnaires, ability tests, language tests, In-Trays, and role-plays.

Simil-e®

HR Services S.A. has, since 2008, developed simil-e®, an electronic In-Tray (" e-Tray ").

simil-e® is an electronic tool allowing the simulation of a realistic work environment of the 21st century (e-mails, electronic agendas, contacts, various electronic files, ...). This extremely innovative tool allows a precise evaluation of the generic competencies of the candidates like analytical and synthesising skills, time and priority management, organisation, decision making, problem solving, interaction with others, communication, delegation, etc.

The consultants of HR Services S.A. have developed and continue to develop, in cooperation with the University of Luxembourg, exercises tailored for candidates of different sectors and levels of experiences. All basic exercises are available in three languages (French, English and German) and in a combination of two or three of these languages.

If requested by a client, tailor-made exercises for the specific needs of this client may be created. Candidates may be evaluated on the client's premises for the purpose of recruitment or internal promotion.

HR Services S.A. is licensed as a private research institute by the Ministry of Economy and External Commerce.

Coaching and Outplacement

Individual and group performance coaching

Over the last years, the coaches of HR Services S.A. have acquired a huge expertise in performance coaching by following a strict deontology. After an initial session (the "briefing") to determine the objectives of the coaching in agreement with the coachee, his/her manager, a representative of the HR Department and the coach of HR Services S.A., the coachee and the coach work together to achieve these objectives during their regular coaching sessions. At the end of this coaching process in a debriefing, the above-mentioned parties meet again to verify that the objectives have been achieved.

The coaching can be applicable to individuals or teams (team coaching). Team coaching is particularly effective in case of Change Management.

  • Individual coaching for personal development purposes in case of promotion or transfer in various organisations;
  • Individual performance coaching in various organisations;
  • Coaching of a team in a Change Management situation following the implementation of new software or new procedures in companies and administrations;
  • Coaching of a team in a conflict situation.

Executive Coaching

The coaches of HR Services S.A. are the partners of many Senior Managers, including Executive Directors and Board Members of various organisations when these take on their new role as well as offering them a sounding board to enable them to clarify complex situations, to focus on the core problems and to develop new strategies.

Redundancy and Career Coaching and Outplacement

Over the last ten years, the coaches of HR Services S.A. have successfully assisted a few hundred employees with redundancy and career coaching following lay-offs as well as individual termination of contracts. Because of their in-depth knowledge of the local employment market and its players, they have been able to establish themselves as one of the leaders in this field.
